Video Printer Collage

January 31, 2014 by Eddy Colloton in art

I created a sequence of prints from a mitsubishi video printer for the 2013 Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) Staff Art Show. The goal was to make a sort of visual rhythm with the prints, using the video's scan lines and the printer's arbitrary spacing to "pace" images from  videos I had created, mixed with found footage. Above is a slideshow of the finished piece installed in the gallery. Below are some instagram posts from the making of the piece.

Doing some last-minute work on my piece for the LACMA staff art show. Nothing like a deadline.
